Client centred care that reduces the rate of infection for STIs including HIV; improves quality if life for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS; and reduces the stigma and discrimination associated with sexual health, resulting in the overall improved health of our community

What We Do

The Nine Circles Community Health Centre is a community based, non-profit centre specializing in HIV prevention and care. We:

• Support HIV & STI prevention through testing, education and treatment
• Provide coordinated medical and social supports for those living with HIV
• Promote sexual and personal health including harm reduction to those at risk

Goals

Nine Circles aims to achieve specific goals as outlined its 2006-2009 Strategic Plan:

• To reduce rates of HIV, STI and other Blood Borne pathogens through HIV prevention.
• To provide access to early HIV diagnosis to allow people to discover infection as early as possible thereby allowing access to appropriate interventions that will promote individual health and reduce risk of onward transmission.
• To facilitate the empowerment of people with HIV to take personal control and management over their health and experience the best quality of life.
• To maintain the highest quality of life, general health and sexual health of people living with HIV through provision of good primary and clinical care.
• To maximize the quality of life of people with HIV by providing them, their caregivers and dependents access to a range of social care services provided in coordination with health care services.
• To maximize the quality of life, including end of life for people living with HIV through respite, rehabilitative and palliative (end of life) care appropriate to the stage of disease.
