The Education & Prevention team offers in house education & training opportunities throughout the year. For a listing of trainings please see our event calendar. For further information, to register for in house opportunities, and/or request an education resource package or service provider training, please email the program at
You may also download an online booking form to be completed & returned by mail, fax or Email. Please allow 4-6 weeks in advance for Education & Prevention training service requests.
Please note: The Education team is working hard to accomodate every request and will need to make referrals when necessary. The online booking form is not an official booking. Please complete and follow the submission guidelines at the bottom of the document. Requests will be followed up with a phone call before any official booking is completed.

Understanding and incorporating the principals of harm reduction. 2. Learning and identifying safer sex and drug use strategies and tools. 3. Integrating education and prevention concepts into your work and service delivery. Section Six – Sexual Health 101 1. Increased knowledge of STI and BBP’s. 2. Building capacity and expanding knowledge regarding the treatment and management of both reportable and non-reportable STI’s. 3. Understanding the reporting and contact notification processes. Section Seven – Delivering Diagnosis 1. Identifying education and prevention procedures for a negative diagnosis. 2. Learning tools for the delivery of a positive diagnosis. 3. Development and integration of a holistic care plan for those newly diagnosed. Section Eight – Pre and Post Test Education/Sexual Health Assessment 1. Understanding the principals of and the recommendations for Pre and Post Test education. 2. How to implement Pre and Post Test education into existing service delivery. 3. Examination of existing Pre and Post Test education forms, questions and procedures. |
