Daily Challenges: September 14 – 20
Join Nine Circles Community Health Centre for the 2020 Virtual Red Ribbon Walk & Run! This year’s largest fundraiser for people living with HIV will take place over the week of September 14-20th. Each day will feature a unique activity focused on raising awareness about HIV and fighting against HIV stigma. Plus: buy tickets to our 50/50 Raffle (launching September 9) to support programs & services for people living with HIV or make a direct donation any time! While COVID-19 may have required us to adjust our annual event, it won’t adjust our dedication to fight for a world where people living with HIV can THRIVE!
“Being diagnosed at 23 years old, I felt a great deal of fear and shame and I isolated myself because of the stigmas attached to HIV. The support, information and treatment I got from Nine Circles helped me in all aspects of my well-being and donations through events like the Red Ribbon Walk & Run ensured those resources were available for me.” -Marco, Nine Circles client

WHAT DOES THE RED RIBBON WALK & RUN SUPPORT?
Sometimes, people need extra help to live well with HIV, and reach or maintain an undetectable viral load. This is where Nine Circles’ programming comes in. Your support of the Red Ribbon Walk & Run helps people living with HIV thrive by supporting services beyond basic medical care. Donations support programs that promote wellness, social connection, food security, economic participation, and health equity, as well as projects that fight stigma and discrimination in our community.
Nine Circles has been working hard to adapt our services through these unprecedented times. COVID-19 adjustments have included increased outreach to vulnerable clients, adapted food bank services (including home delivery), continued harm reduction supply and naloxone distribution, and offering a safe space for clients and the community. With your support, we can continue to improve upon our programs and ensure people living with HIV can confidently access the supports they need.
HOW TO DONATE:
- Donate online through our website
- Mail a cheque made out to Nine Circles Community Health Centre (705 Broadway, Winnipeg MB, R3G 0X2)
